I try to do a shoot a year, and this time, i shot and processed and posted within a week. Hot damn! I found a new workflow that helps my  processing speed, and i finally got to shoot with a friend. While i’d like to think this could be something of a promo shoot, i’m so out of shape (THANKS, PNEUMONIA) that it’ll be a while before i’m dancing up to snuff again. Until then, enjoy the illusion!

Thanks, Ping!

I take offer of your open window

Even just the scent of what you've left behind

this song for you I hum in your favorite key

when your treachery holds me fast

never dreamed they would extinguish me

If you’d like to see more of this set (which i strongly suggest), you can check it out on Flickr.

Photographer: Rell Edwards
Location: Fredericksburg, VA

In November or so of 2012, Photographer Rell Edwards shot my Baroness cosplay. Recently, he stumbled on the lost footage of my dressup game, and i took it upon myself to process them.

Thanks Rell!

Model: Me!
Photographer: Also me.
Location: My kitchen.

So, one of the many reasons my blog has been so quiet for the last few months is because i’m currently working diligently on a new Youtube show called Sako Can’t Cook, a show where I make my awesome friends cook for me. I am awesome at many things, but cooking is not one of them.

With a new show comes new social media sites to promote said show, and with new social media sites, promo images are required. I haven’t self shot a set in years and years. Today was one of those days where i just rolled out of bed, threw on some makeup and hopped in front of the camera. When i’m shooting for myself, it takes like, 20 minutes tops. I should do it more often, but i tend to lack great angles.

Time for Wedding Catchup!
Back in September of 2012, i had the pleasure of photographing the Majarovs, some lovely folks that i frequent an annual medieval war with.

Time for Wedding Catchup!
Way back in June of 2011, i had the pleasure of photographing the delightfully low key wedding of my dear friends Kobi and Nick. Getting married in Washington DC proper is a major pain in the butt, so these two DC residents got married in Maryland in a friend’s front yard, and had their reception in DC proper.

I’ve decided to do some warmup pinups before working on my graphic novels, so for the past 7 work days, I’ve been doing these Hanna barbera doodles.  It goes from newest to oldest, and it would figure that i would change up the last one to a completely different style.  Because i suck like that.  I give myself an hour to warm up my hands and do a doodle, and these are what came out of it. Obviously, the more you do it, the better you get at it.
