Photography: 365 Project: Week Five

Challenge: Take a picture once a day, every day, for 365 days.
I will be doing this through Instagram and my iPhone4. I’m hoping to publish this into a photo book in a year’s time, which will include haikus that will act as the photo’s commentary.
Wanna do it too? Photojojo has some groovy guidelines you might find inspiring.

Day 29

Artists that live in shoeboxes never run out of interesting colors and textures to shoot. Experiment failed, but i suppose it fulfills the purpose of the project.

030

Back and forth. I can't believe we forgot.

In early July, my grandmother (and namesake) passed away. We had her cremated. On the day 30 of this project, in mid august, We’d made it all the way down to Petersburg VA when we realized that we’d remembered every tiny detail… except grandma herself.  So, i happened to catch pictures of Richmond as we passed through going southbound AND northbound, back to back. Four hours lost. Doh.

031

Day 31

My father and his cousin. If i were to have an uncle in the sense that most people think of uncles, it would be that dude on the left.

032

Day 32

My grandparents’ butsadon.

033

Day 33

At a buddhist funeral, you offer incense to burn when you pray for their eternal happiness.

034

Day 34

Howard’s Flea Market in Homosassa FL is a great place to find all kinds of oddities, and for ridiculously cheap too. (yeah, i’ve got some photoshopping to do on that one, but hey, i should do that for all of them when this is all said and done.)

035

Day 35

My grandmother’s bedroom, where i am currently sleeping. It’s so strange not to have her here.
