Challenge: Take a picture once a day, every day, for 365 days. I will be doing this through Instagram and my iPhone4. I’m hoping to publish this into a photo book in a year’s time, which will include haikus that will act as the photo’s commentary. Wanna do it too? Photojojo has some groovy guidelines you might find inspiring.
My brother in law (?) flew in from LA for Tony’s funeral. We made a trip to Denny’s, which is something of a tradition with my sister’s inlaws.
The Beau had his first actual standalone gig in Charlottesville, VA. Considering it was a weeknight, and a genre that isn’t hugely popular in the states, i thought the turnout was decent, but he was disappointed.
A nepalese/himalayan/indian joint that had a delish brunch buffet.
I went into a big kick where i was drawing lots of gig poster concepts. This was one of them.
I’d never seen so many flowers the day of my brother’s wedding. Of course, being the immediate family of the deceased, all of the flowers came to our house. Our living and dining rooms were FULL. We gave half of them away, and we were still swamped. So our house smelled like flowers for weeks.
Poetic was the day that his funeral flowers began to wilt.
In Harrisonburg VA, there’s a little mom and pop froyo shop that’s been around since the 50s. There’s a branch in Triangle that’s been there since the beginning of time.. i didn’t realize it was the same business. The Beau’s family were friends with the Klines.

Driving back through the Appalachians from Harrisonburg back home. We took the scenic route. This is somewhere on Skyline drive.
