Challenge: Take a picture once a day, every day, for 365 days. I will be doing this through Instagram and my iPhone4. I’m hoping to publish this into a photo book in a year’s time, which will include haikus that will act as the photo’s commentary. Wanna do it too? The Foggy Bottom station. I want to start experimenting with sillhouttes and dark, spooky color schemes. I think it’s the Halloween spirit seeping in on me.

Really, i was after the sillhouettes of the birds on the building. I NEVER do the lens flare thing in post production, but if i manage to pull off a spectacular lens flare /bokeh by pure accident, then so be it. I have to say, this is the most spectacular lens flare i’ve accidently captured to date.

I’ve been working pretty late, and eating dinner with a charming fellow in Rosslyn on my way home. I stopped in at Red Hot and Blue for old time’s sake, and wasn’t disappointed. Lemme tell ya, Rosslyn is a slightly different place than it was in i was in school…

There are days where the day ends, and i realize i need take another panic picture. This entirely glass building, full of converging lines and chaotic grids, caught my eye just before i got on the train. Sure, the entire wall was glass, but there was still some amount of privacy with so much revealed.

I’ve been rather under the weather for the last 2 or 3 weeks. I was basically forced to stay home due to a dizzy spell that kept me off my feet for 14 hours. At the end of the day, i blacked out on my feet. I think this is something more than just the flu… Blood pressure issues are more likely.

At the IHOP in dumfries, they had a cute little skeleton held prisoner in a high traffic area. When you pressed the button, he violently shook the chains to his prison and cried “LET ME OUT OF HERE LET ME OUUUUUTTTT”. I was thoroughly amused that this was at the international house of pancakes. A little torture with your omlettes?
